This place is amazing! The staff and service were great and the food was even better. Ordered a whole pecking duck, duck soup (add on) when you order the whole duck, veggie eggroll, steamed cabbage (was even better the second day), red bean bao and egg York bao.
I love ordering on the iPad and being able to see pictures of almost everything before purchasing.
For large parties (more than 4), they have family style seating which I’m a huge fan of. Great place to have a dinner party and enjoy some authentic Chinese cuisine.
I called ahead, 35 minutes from arrival to order the duck, which I was advised would take about 45 minutes or so but I didn’t mind waiting the extra time. I personally preferred the additional time to get settled in and review the menu to order sides.
Definitely call ahead for the duck.

All three dishes we ordered were as good as we expected. The flavor of Ma La Zhu Er was superb and big portions. The Peking Duck was delicious. The boss lady was very friendly and attentive. Will revisit to try other dishes. If you want to order Peking Duck the best way is to call 1 hour advance since it will take longer time to prepare the dish.

We love searching for authentic Peking duck in every big city in the US because my husband is a huge fan of Peking duck! On our third day in Dallas, we dedicated an afternoon to Royal Kitchen, and it was totally worth it. The portions are big, and the flavors are spot on. The crispy duck skin dipped in white sugar and sauce was rich but not greasy at all, very authentic and even the girl sit beside me ask me what I ordered. The duck soup made from the leftover bones was incredibly flavorful, and we somehow managed to finish an entire duck, which is very big one, between the two of us! We also loved the sizzling crispy rice with chicken—so crunchy and flavorful! The lady who served us was very welcoming, and hearing her Beijing dialect brought back memories of my time studying in Beijing in 2012. Highly recommend!

Went here for dinner yesterday and it as a delight!! We had cumin lamb, Dan Dan noodles, wonton in chili oil, and Peking duck. Food quality was amazing!!! The only thing is service is a little slow because there was only one server for the whole restaurant. She is a sweet older lady but I felt bad for her.
Peking duck takes time to cook so call ahead to save some waiting time!

Royal Kitchen is known for its excellent Peking Duck. One day, I plan to return and try the duck. On this visit, my husband and I opted for the lunch plates. We ordered Orange Chicken and General Tso’s Chicken. Both were fresh and delicious. Lunch came with a fried spring roll and soup. The chicken spring roll was substantial and the egg drop soup was a huge portion. Actually, our whole meal was a lot of food and we took a lot home. We highly recommend Royal Kitchen for authentic Chinese cuisine. We visited Royal Kitchen because it was a featured restaurant at the 2025 Taste of Plano benefitting the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation. We will return because we want to support businesses that give back to the community, and because Royal Kitchen features fresh and delicious cuisine.

We came for the Peking duck and it was great! The chef carved it up at the table for us and I love that they serve it with pancakes instead of buns, feels less heavy. We also got the soup add on which was perfectly comforting and also warmed up great the next day for lunch but be aware that it has the duck chopped the traditional way with all the little bones! Lastly, we got water spinach with garlic which I could eat a bucket of, it’s one of my favorite veggie sides. All the staff were so sweet. Can’t wait to bring friends to try more things, we will be back!

5 stars across the BOARD. The peking duck was so crisp and crunchy it was like glass but the fat underneath was soft. The man who carved it tableside was an expert and did it beautifully. We also got the handmade flat noodles and beef, both literally melted in our mouth. The crab rangoons were delicious and perfectly balanced, and the calamari was fried perfectly and so well seasoned. We got a hoard of food and ALL OF IT was over the moon good. We drove over 30 minutes and it was WELL worth it. Also, everyone we talked to and who helped us was so, so kind.

My husband and I were looking for a Chinese restaurant close to us. We saw this restaurant had better ratings than any other place. We could see photos of the food and it looked amazing. We decided to check it out and were so amazed with the food and service. Granted we were the only customers but, we got egg rolls, crab Rangoons and kung pao chicken. Portions were generous, it was hot, and great quality. For us, this place stood out among all the others. Location has been a struggle for them and I wish more people knew about them because the food was awesome!!!

This is a true Beijing roast duck/peking duck! Most places take shortcuts to get that crispy duck skin (like frying it), but Royal Kitchen does it the proper way that takes a longer time! It just doesn’t taste right unless it’s the authentic way. So call ahead at least a day to reserve your duck. The wrappers they serve with the duck are delicious too! I’ve never had them so thin. We got the duck soup add-on, and I think it’s the best I’ve had. So light and somehow still so flavorful… perfect to help with digestion!
My husband and I came with his parents in November, and the owners came out and chatted with us. They’re so kind and enthusiastic about their authentic Beijing cuisine! Pretty much everything we had here was amazing, including the lobster fried rice (subbed for the crab fried rice since we didn’t call ahead). I wish we lived closer, but we will absolutely be coming here any time we visit. We used to live in NYC (we’re also Chinese American), and I’d say the food here is on par with some of the best Chinese restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
